Text 29 Jan Freelancer in Wanchai

One of the challenges freelancing in Hong Kong is finding somewhere quiet to work when the construction guys start jackhammering outside, or perhaps tear down the building next door to do some pile-driving.  This morning I found Caffe Habitu on Queens Road East was OK to work from, at least they had some sofas and power sockets to recharge my notebook and there’s free wifi (with the code printed on the bottom of your receipt).  The coffee was fine, the staff attitude is a bit sour though.

I was happy to find free wifi at Ebeneezeer’s and Mes Amis as I wandered around the corner of Lockhart and Luard Roads.

I popped into CafeO on Luard Road Wanchai for lunch and was a bit surprised to find they had no free wifi, no power sockets, and it’s a bit too noisy and crowded to get any work done.
